0/5 Gary's Automotive 1750 Bank Street I just got back home with a estimate which was over 1000$ than lowered due to me not giving them a instant yes, all of the sudden it got lowered to $999.34... No THANKS! I came in today for a cheap oil change of $19.99 which would of came up to 60$ with out my coupon which i've had. I just had my brakes and rotors done 2 years ago and not even a year ago i've changed my brake pads. I dont see any problems braking whats so ever and i dont feel my brake pads seizing at all. Yet they had the nerve to come to me and tell me i needed.... Front Pads Rotors Replaced, Front Calipers Replaced, Rear Wheel Cylinders replaced and a brake fluid flush to go with it. They told me its a 3 hour job, but i see here in my estimate labour comes up to 607.70 WOW! Dude my chevy Cavalier isnt even worth that much. So ya just to tell you, my brakes are fine and this is what i get when i get a coupon to change my oil which i shouldnt of had because the oil which i had previously in my engine was just changed almost 2 months ago and it was Castrol. 0/5 I went to the bank st location for a oil change. they come out in 5 mins telling me i needed a front brake service. I had just had the front brakes done at my long time garage. They told me they did not do the job properly which I found very surpising as I had never had a problem with the excellent service I have always received there. I told Garys not to touch my brakes and to finish my oil change that I had gone there for in the first place. So I went to the dealer for a second opinion on my brakes and was told by the Dealer that there was nothing wrong with the brakes and that the job was done exactly as it should have been with proper lubrication and quality parts. 0/5 AWFUL! This place tried to rip me off with their supposed "cheap oil change", and as soon as I got in the door they were trying to sell me on a brake job too! NO MEANS NO GARY! On top of this they used bottom-of-the barrel parts for my oil change and it still cost me $60. Response from: Guest on Dec 08, 2010 - 3:22 pm Gary's Automotive has been in business for 30 years so I am sure if you expressed your concern to the manager he would have explained what the difference was between the 2 repairs. The quote was obviously for more work or different work than the other garage did.
