5/5 I have been a patient of Dr. Halpin for over 20 years. He knows his profession well and his staff are superb. Ricky and Lisa have been with him for years. 4.5/5 My children and I have been going to Dr. Halpin for many, many years. He has always done excellent dental work for us, including cosmetic dentistry. I find him to be very knowledgeable in his field; he attends many seminars to keep up with the times. I believe his intentions for suggesting dental improvement initiate from his passion for the work. It has always been our choice to proceed with his advised treatment, or not. 0.75/5 My rating was based on one experience at this dentist's office. During my first and only visit for some treatment, my lip was cut badly with the instrument which Dr. Halpin was using. Right there with blood oozing all over the place he acted as if he didn't know why I was bleeding so badly. An hour or so later my lip was swollen and very sore. 4.5/5 Going to the dentist is not like going to the spa or the hair salon. I expect discomfort and a bill. Dr. Halpin is more than up to date with the newest and best dental & orthodontic procedures and equipment. He informs all patients of the great potential he can offer them - that is his profession. He does not force anyone to do anything they are not willing to do or pay for. I have been a patient for over fifteen years and have been aware that Dr. Halpin has done much pro bono work for new immigrants to this country (I've tlked to some in the witing room!)and has offered his services - for free- to children victimized by the Chernobyl incident. I also remember when he was preparing a (dangerous) trip to South America to deliver dental and medical supplies to the underprivledged. Perhaps the busy dental office is a sign of how much he is in demand. Eye doctors, medical doctors, emergency wards all make us wait. The college said it could not provide more detail about the allegations against Halpin. Reached at his clinic, Halpin said he was busy working and was unable to discuss the allegations. He said he would call back, but did not.
