The ESD rocks!! Food is consistently great. Best fries in town, 4 sure. Friendly staff, professional servers (many have worked there for years). We keep going back!!

The server had many tatoos and piercings which did not look very hygienic and she did not ask us how our meal was. The food was okay but I could have made better at home. The servings were huge.

Jodi always provides bang up service, while Dan, Mahari, Quen & the boys always cook up consistent great diner food. Hats off to the boys & girls of ESD

Overall, it's a nice atmosphere…open 24 hours…the service is great, the food is pretty decent…I really like their fries…a nice street view of Elgin Street if you sit by the windows…definitely recommend them.

Fantastic and fast - in the hub of Elgin Street's bar & restaurant entertainment district it boasts the best smoked meat pontine, service & shakes ever.

Great poutine and milkshakes and breakfast. The best hangover food ever. C'mon where else can you get breakfast with a side of poutine? Do I have to say anymore?

If you're looking for a good helping of poutine or breakfast, this is definitely the place to go. No internet though - so don't plan on getting any work done.

The poutine certainly doesn't live up to the legend. Service was absolute crap, waitress treated us like garbage. She then screm and swore at a person in line, calling him a "Piece of Sh*t" because he was friends with her ex-boyfriend. Get over yourself brat.

My favorite restaurant of all times.I have been going to the diner for more than 10 years now. The food is great, they must be doing something right as they have the same staff for all these years. #1 for me is the lox club, 2nd choice is the veggie burger. The orange creamsicle shake is to die for! I would love to have the stomach for poutine but that is for the younger crowd who seem to eat it morning and night
