The first time I went to The Works was with my boyfriend. I thought it was pretty cool, the burgers were great and the milk shake in the measuring cup was unique. Then we got the bill and it was over $50! At the time I didn't really mind because it was good food and was pretty filling, but when you think about it, all we got was 2 burgers and a milk shake. This is probably why we don't go there that much..you can get almost the same meal for cheaper anywhere else...but its still fun to go once in a while.
(The only other negative thing is that its a very tiny space so its always crowded and loud.)
I don't really get the hype - I have yet to have a burger like dad used to make - fresh herbs that make your mouth water with each bite. Seems like a burger joint that makes fresh patties with some wonky recipes. I give them a thumbs up for ingenuity and locations.
I really liked this place. The menu is a bit overwhelming because there are too many options. The food was great and service is too. I don't like that you can't make reservations, it means that if you want to go, you might have to wait for a long time...
If you have a hankering for a burger and want lots of options then the Works is a great choice. But make sure you come hungry because the portions are pretty big.
The rings are really good too.
I tried this place 2 weeks ago and it was nothing special except for the big line up. My son heard a lot of classmate talking about it and wanted to test out the burgers. The food came at a reasonable time and it looked great. The presentation was great but that was all it had.....
....I took a bite into the burger and it was plain as can be. The extras I added helped, but the burger was overcooked, dried, and tasteless. My son had one comments to make â Harvey makes your hamburger, a beautiful thingâ and said the burger was nothing like Harveyâs burgers. I totally agree and hope they do some quality control considering that burgers are their major theme.
simply a CRAZY experience.
I didn\'t understand what the whole fuzz was about, its simply burgers, i can just go to McDonald\'s right?
Well, not quite the same. The themes they\'ve got going on and the VARIETY of burgers is simply mindblowing. I need to say nothing other than, TRY IT FOR YOURSELVES. The experience is worth it and your tummies will be happy!
Somewhat of a gimmick, but the food is good. I have had 3-4 different burgers some ground beef and some chicken breast. The milkshakes are awesome, and I love the die-cut chips and their Caesar salad. Most of the sides (the ones you don't have to upsize) are unlimited refills but they do not advertise this. We will return.
