Went to Stella Osteria in the Byward Market the other night for my friend's Birthday. The service was great! As soon as I stepped in, the hostess was very nice and offered to hang up all of our coats. The food tasted good, but a little pricey.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be back soon!
Went to Stella for a "stellar" meeting that was well served by the staff; very professional, diligent and suggestive! We were there for brunch, but I think the table ended up having Caesars first, mineral water, then eggs bene'! All was great! Pricing is moderately high.
In the heart of downtown, with one of the biggest patios both on the rooftop and on the street, Stella also boasts a great menu and a good wine list. The service has been much better since last year(we waited 40 mins to get our drinks, and 45mins another time to get our mains). The pizzas are worth a try - do it with a date!
I would never again visit Stella Osteria in the market. The food was bland and over priced. When i peeked into the kitchen I found it be rather dirty. I saw a server drop cutlery on the floor and put in back in the clean bins. I do not recommend.
Love it, love it, love it!! Great restaurant with a young, fun and modern atmosphere. Some nights they even have a dj playing great lounge music. The rooftop patio in the summer is a great place to hang out with friends and have some cocktails.
$87 for two pitchers of watered down sangria mix. If it was the real thing (wine, brandy, fruit, etc.) I wouldn't mind paying that but this was really low quality stuff and I was shocked when I saw the bill. Very nice interior and decent service but charging that price for a premade mix they purchased for $5 at the grocery store is really insulting.
