The staff was very friendly. Didn't have to wait a long time to be seen which is a rarity. The digital pictures taken of my eye balls were very interesting, it makes sense in this day and age to compare these pictures during the next visit. Had a good choice of frames. The different lenses available were explained to me. My glasses were couriered to me. Great service. Will definitely go back.
Dr. Lu and her staff are great. I was in a rush to go on a vacation and they rushed a set of new glasses to me in time for my trip. I wanted to try contacts and Dr. Lu gave me a few brands to try out. Great service.
I have been seeing Dr. Lu for over 20 years. My family also sees her on a regular basis. It was unfortunate that OHIP stopped paying for eye exams but my eyes are important to me and I think it's important to see well. She is always running on time and I never have to wait. She is very thorough and takes the time to explain what she is doing. She has supplied different brands of contact lenses to try free of charge. She has also provided quotes for frames that I like so I can do comparison shopping for myself. Typically I buy there because the prices are competitive and the service is great. More than once I've changed my mind about a frame and there were hassles exchanging them for something else. My family and I will continue to see Dr Lu.
I had a very bad experience here. I have always had fine vision which suddenly deteriorated within a week. Things became fuzzy both close and far. I tried to see an ophthalmologist, but couldn't get in. I then looked for an optometrist who could test my eyes. I got an appointment very quickly here. I had a chalazion on my eyelid, which I mentioned to Dr. Lu, asking if it could affect my vision. I was never given a straight answer but instead was given the hardsell for progressive glasses at close to $1000. The hardsell was even pursued through one of the eye exams, when I was trying to focus on respond to the test, which I found most unprofessional. Anyhow, I did not buy my glasses there because I detest pressure selling, but I did order some elsewhere. I will have to return these as I have since managed to see an ophthalmologist who confirmed that a chalazion can cause double vision, and was likely the cause of my problems. The visit to Dr. Lu was a waste of much money and time.
