I went a few times for dim sum with a bunch of friends. The service was fast and the food was nice and hot.
The food was average at best but the selection was terrible. We selected 4 dishes in 2 minutes and waited 30 minutes more to select the next 3 . They kept pushing this same dishes around. I counted the spring roll cart 3 times in 10 minutes. We finally left without eating some of our favorites dishes. I hope the owners see this review and do something about their selection or improve their kitchen efficiency.
I was there this weekend with my mom and sister and we probably had the best dim sum in years. The service was fast, food was hot, excellent variety, and staff were very friendly. Both my mom and my sister from Halifax loved it.
This is one of the most popular place for weddings and large Chinese organization gatherings. I have been here many times and the 10 course dinners are always so well prepared.
We used to go to Chu Shing fairly regularly as they have tasty general tao chicken and other dishes. However one evening we ordered and the bak choy came out first as usual and after a few bites into it we found what looked like a caterpillar cooked in with the bak choy. We spoke with the restaurant manager and their only response was that it happens sometimes because bugs get into the vegetables. They did not seem to care in the least and took the dish back and brought out a new one. Needless to say, I wasn\\\'t interested in eating at that ponit.
