I've been to two functions at Strathmere and they were both amazing. The staff were so great, the food was terrific and the rooms are incredibly cute. It's a great place to have a wedding or a banquet of any kind really.
Pole fitness works everything: arms, legs and core. The instructors are great. They're incredibly talented and they take the time to teach the moves properly. The facility is great too - 17 poles so NO sharing which means when you go to an a hour long class, you work for the entire hour. They let you practice between classes too so if you want to refine your moves, it's no problem. The best part: you feel so good while you do this workout - not just after.
Carleton's campus is constantly changing. They're always adding something new, fixing something old or breaking ground for another project. 1st year students in rez, have everything they need right there and never need to leave campus. If they do decide to wander away though, the buses are frequent and the trips are quick. I enjoyed every minute of my 4 years at Carleton. I especially enjoyed never needing to walk outside when it was minus 30. The tunnel system is a life saver during Ottawa winters!!
LOBBY has awesome dance music. If you want to dance all night, this is the place to go. It's a nice change of pace from the clubs that play top 40 or throw back hip hop. They have really fun theme nights too, and they go all out for those.
Amazing service, amazing selection, awesome prices. LOVE this store! They do evening wear and prom dresses as well. Exclusive designers, incredible quality - GO!
The Fire Station was sold a couple years ago and reopened as Nixne. Nixne was sold at the end of January 2011 and will be renovated and converted into a pub under new owners this spring.
